Very clean establishment and the service was very comforting however the green tamales barely had meat inside them. Also they were not spicy at all. Also had a leñgua taco and it had no taste. I will still give them another try because of the service.

Omg I live in Texas but I’m from Cali I haven’t had tamales or champurrado like this since I left Cali . Everything was soo delicious my only regret I only order half a dozen instead of a dozen I’m freezing my leftovers n taking them back with me. Thank you for making my stay in Chicago more enjoyable mil gracias.

I ordered from Uber eats but all of the words were in Spanish so I called the store and they helped with no problem. I received my food and it was phenomenal. I got the beef tongue taco and the red torta thing but it was soooo good the meat was the best I think I’ve had. It was my first time having beef tongue and if you never had it get it I promise you it’s worth it. EVERYTHING WAS PILLLLED WITH MEAT!

First of all when I walked in I was treated like royalty!!!! Clean environment!!! Amazing customer service !!!! If I had to cater and ask for a huge order I would definitely choose Gordos tamales because of the hospitality and me and my family enjoy their food. No matter if it’s a torta or tamales the food is tasty and feels very friendly and family oriented!

The tamales was really good but I wish there was an option not to get them spicy and the sope de Pollo de Verde was very delicious

I ordered here for the first time and it was a hit The al pastor taco "marinated pork " was delicious and had a good meat ratio. We ordered 3 mole tamales which I've never had so I had to try, paid about 20 dollars for that the tamales had mole and chicken inside the tamale the mole sauce had a small back heat but really impressed on the flavor! The asada "steak" torta was very filling it had a great meat ratio as well loved that they didn't take a long time and when I got home the food was still hot. If I can mention the asada was a little bit salty but some might like that I didn't mind therefore I still gave it a 5. I will continue to eat local and this is one of many!
